Fancy Footwork

Originally born in Denmark, Camilla Skovgaard trained in couture in Paris, then moved to Dubai in her twenties where she was designing dresses. She was always fascinated by shoes but it was not until 7 years later that she realized it was her true passion.

In 2000, she moved to London and got her BA in footwear. Camilla won many impressive awards in recognition of her skills as a shoe designer, namely Award for Excellence in Footwear 2003, London College of Fashion, Young Designer of the Season Award 2003, Footwear UK, Innovation in Fashion Award 2002, Cordwainers.

Camilla now lives and works out of London, Italy and Hong Kong. She is gaining great international recognition and her designs have attracted significant coverage in leading International media such as Financial Times, The Times, Vogue, Vogue.com, W, and Harpers Bazaar.
